Title: Peace Out and Peace In

Big Idea: Peacemakers pursue vertical and horizontal peace for the glory of God.

1. The Principle

See Romans 5:1; Ephesians 2:14; 1 John 1:3-4

The gospel provides vertical peace (relational harmony with God) and horizontal peace (relational harmony with God’s people).

2. The Practice

See 2 Corinthians 5:20-21; Romans 14:19; 2 Timothy 2:22; Philippians 4:2-3; Psalm 133:1

Practice Steps:

(1) Preach the gospel and pray for gospel-proclaiming opportunities. 1-4P Challenge.
(2) Pursue what makes for peace and mutual upbuilding in the church.
(3) Repent for not sharing the gospel and repent for not pursuing those things that make for peace in the church.
