  1. What’s the relationship between John 18:12-14, John 11:45-53, and the section in between (John 11:54-18:11)?
  2. What evidence do we have for Jesus’ identity as Messiah in John 11-18?
  3. What’s ironic about our passage?
  4. What’s significant about the phrase, “that one man should die for the people” at the end of vs. 14?  Why does John mention Caiaphas’ words once again this close to the Cross?
  5. What does this passage ultimately prepare us for?
